Johnny brings you news of Brink passing the 2.5 million sales mark, the next Call of Duty being teased, and Lollipop Chainsaw being...well, just watch.
This week, we cover new titles Journey, Warp, Defenders of Ardania, and Shoot Many Robots, as well as old titles, Reality Fighters, Ridge Racer, BioShock 2, Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension, James Cameron's Avatar: The Game, and Warhammer 40K.
The only way I could play this without wanting to throw my controller was to play offline, as a heavy, holding down the fire button to mow down the endless hordes of dumb enemies constantly killing me when I tried to complete missions as a light or medium character
I'll think about getting skyrim, see if it'll beat the crap out of brink. And don't complain about the fricken genre diffrences. I know there completely different games, one is a multiplayer fps, and the other is an huge rpg. And don't think it's fricken stupid that I'm comparing an fps to a rpg, cause those comments will hands down be deleted. I compared those games cause there from the same developer. Don't u get it?
Brink is my second personal game of the year in my opinion. Don't be an idiot and disagree with my comment, this is just my opinion. So don't complain and crap about me. U understand it's just MY opinion.
The only problems I've found so far are some annoying texture pop-ups and AI enemy glitches as they seem to soak all my bullets and yet kill me in 1 shot. Overall, I'm enjoying the game, it probably deserves a 7.0 not a 6.0.
this game is not as bad as it is said to be. just it had some wasted potential. IF (a bigger if than shown :P ) they made a sequel and worked out all the kinks (like making leveling up more woth it) this game had i think it could easily be a great shooter.
Codester_41 Posted Jun 15, 2011 3:00 am GMT "Damnit, Bethesda, after Fallout 3, you just went downhill..." Bethesda didn't develop it, they just published it. It was developed by Slash Damage.
Does anyone have this on PS3. If so please please add me as I need someone to get "That mine you found, disarmed" trophy with. Its driving me up the wall! Add me: TommyT456
@Codester_41 not made by bethesda, just produced it... elderscrolls and fallout are seriously like the only games they make now days and they are pretty much guaranteed to be great games.... splash damage made this, they also made enemy territory: wolfenstien, and ET: Quake wars... just sayin
Absolutely hated this game. The reason I got it was because my friend kept feeding me information on it and about 70% of it were lies. It was the worst 60 bucks I have ever spent. Its one of those games that jumps way too high and fails the landing.
Oh for christ sake, what the hell is it with products that Bethesda and Mr. Todd either develop or publish? I can't be the only one that has noticed this. Every freakin game they touch is a buggy half broken piece of !@#$. Year after year they release "Oh my god games!!!" Once we get them, suprise it is a laggy, stuttering needs months of patches pile of feces. Never trust people who didn't grow as children and sound like they caught a cannonball between the legs. I am talking to you Todd Howard Incoherent rant done
The game sounds amazing, it just needs to be patched. It's a pity that developers have to resort to putting out an inferior product and rely on patching.
Man, after renting brink i have to say it's the biggest disappointment of the year so far. The complete lack of a story, morbid lag, resorting to cliches(Audio Logs? r you kidding me...) & terrible, just terrible AI bring the game down to the lowest point possible. It really depresses me cuz i had such faith for this game to b something else, something different. It's a sad thing i have to say: Such wasted, squandered potential.
I,m sure if they fix the graphical hick-ups and the on-line lag and mabye stepp up the AI most ofcourse the friendly AI because the enemy AI is performing def better then your teambuddies. Other then that its def fun to tackle with this game, i think we all are a bit spoiled by soooo many multiplayer games, and ofcourse there is alot of fanboys for different multiplayer games. I,m not sure what console this game looks better on, some say the xbox360 then others the PS3 i got both. I,m sure IF Splash Damage makes Brink 2 all those issues should be removed and then its probly an even better game. But i sure hope they still trowing in some updates to fix the major problems so at least the ppl on-line can enjoy this more.
Gamespot usually has really good reviews. I think it's sad though that they rated this game after only playing it on Xbox 360. I'm not an Xbox hater, I own one, but xbox games do tend to have visual/lag issues. I have this game for PS3, and while the AI is lacking and the S.M.A.R.T. shortcomings are frustrating, both online and offline have no lag or visual studdering. Brink probably does deserve a 6 on 360, but it should have at least an 8 for PS3.
I was very disappointed with this game...but not for the first 4 hours or so! A rental title if you ask me, and don't play it online, it has, as the review has said, got terrible lag!!
