Game director Paul Wedgwood tells us about freedom of movement in Brink.
I think this would be better in 3rd person..
why you would like to see your character, if this was on 3rd person view, then its nothing new...helloooo
I think you move like in assassins creed by holding a button down your able to go over whatever
ave you ever tried to hold an weapon totally still, its hard. Its realistic.
It is so irritating how the weapon constantly moves and waves. Hope they fix that and make weapon movement more realistic.
does anyone know what the SMART button is on ps3
sounds like a gaming breakthrough
This game will be cool!
im going to be very SMART when i get this game
the only bummer is that it doesn't sound like their's much of a story line
Looks great. Would be even better if it could be a solid 60 frames/sec. since the game is based around fluid movement so much.
no way a 3rd person view would be better they took the idea that really worked out with mirrors edge its more about the feeling of movement than just seeing your character onscreen.
that sucks u cant switch to 3rd person view but i see why the smart system is really good
@AncientDozer You're absolutely right. There needs to be a female model of every class. Who else wants to see the massively muscled female tank, lol. To be honest, if I'm going to be playing this game as long as I hope, I wouldn't mind being treated to a few female fight-outs now and again.
now i can avoid people in shooters and wont die every few seconds
Does anybody now if brink is open world
Looks a lot like mirrors edge and borderlands mixed
Brink looks sick i Relly hope that they dont mess it up
I hope this works out.I think we all need something FRESH to play.
No female models? That's. . tragic.
looks great
looks awesome i think. the 1st person i dont mind cuz i hate 3rd person shooters nd the running is just a finishing touch in my eyes so im not that botherd about the fact its 1st person
Looks just like Mirrors Edge
All I have seen is good, the only prob is that it's in 1st person, bad idea. Would have been great if it werein 3rd person.
It's really a shame. My biggest complaint of Mirror's Edge was it being 1st Person and the fact that the studio who brought up Mirror's Edge and WET is now making a multiplayer game with just male characters seems...ironic and sad.
Can you go into 3rd person?
cool! lookin forward to it. but never even heard of it before!!
looks so awsome
Sweet
wow, kinda seems like mirrors edge, but instead of running, you shoot.
is this a mono-gendered character system? My neighbour will wanna know... her high-point of saint's row/ME & ME2 was having her female avatar. I'm checking this out (all three movies) and haven't seen one female option... does anyone know what is up with that?
seems good to me
look amazing to me...
Whoa... when they all appeared it's like they're all stealthy. Anyways, reminds me of Assassin 's Creed/Mirror's Edge play, giving me a Borderland's feel and if they add a Bad Company Element (frostbite [the destruction])... hoo-hah!!! looks good. But it doesn't really need destruction. Looks good. Need more info and really want to know the story!
When are we getting a hold of a demo??
so is this a free roam open world game like world of warcraft? or a mission to mission game like modern warfare two? or a mix of the two like halo 3 ODST?
mirror's edge WITH BIG GUNS
the problem when you have so much customization you want to be able to see what you look like. I don't care if people see what I have done. i want to be able to see it myself.
seriously need a 3rd person mode in this game
The game looks ok but y is it in first person that kinda sux especially with all these platfomer specific moves like jumping and climbing. and whats the point of being able to edit ur character when u can't even see what he looks like
i dont get it, u just touch a button? cant u just jump or crouch to make those things??
The look of the game is really cool. I like that it's a bit cartoony. I also think this smart movement system could be really cool. It may be "stolen" from Mirrors Edge, but they've obviously done a much better job on the shooting mechanics than that game did. I have just one question, are there any women on this island? All the characters appear to be males. Hardly realistic...
OK... I love the movement, although this is very "stolen" from 'Mirror's Edge', I do not like the superhuman abilities you have here... Very tiresome... -_- Well, guess this is a more cartoonish game then... but still... WHY?!
A first person shooter with SMARTS its about time
this looks freaking awesome
This looks promising. I am so impressed. I will definately be picking this title up at launch if it can deliver gameplay like in this video.
the "S.M.A.R.T." system seems a littile like mirrors edge but where the gun is actually useufl
Kan't freaken wait to play BRINK, except...where the hell are the female modeled characters! Bethesda, your not seriously thinking about releasing BRINK without adding a female oriented story line and avatars for girl gamers(and perv's) to choose from are you?
Pretty impressive.. always thought Mirror's Edge would have been much better with guns. Music sounds quality too..
lots of potential
