- "Highly addictive"
I was not expecting this game to be very good to be honest, but the 20 hours I have spent with this game have been some of the best online action this generation.
This is one of the few games that requires teams to REALLY work as a group, no more of this solo or rambo style of play that casuals and COD players are come to enjoy in the last handful of years. Not only is this game a better online experience then the last 3 Halo or COD games.
The custimization in this game is fantastic, as you level up you get new weapons, skills, new outfits,etc...
The gameplay is top notch and some of the best this gen, there rae classes to pick from and each one has there own things they are great at. Each class in this game is very important to winning games as a team.
Running around as a medic and reviving/healing people really is alot of fun and gives you a feeling of occomplishment after winning a close battle with your team that you dont get in alot of games.
While most online FPS rely on gimmicks and a RAMBO "no one can stop me" style of play, this game is based all around teamwork.
If you are expecting a campaign along the lines of MAss Effect or Bioshock then you might be dissapointed, buf if you are looking for a great team oriented online shooter that reminds me in ways of Wolfenstien: ET, Counterstrike, SHadowrun and Quake Wars, then give this game a try!
Dont let some of the bad reviews turn you off, this game has a big learning curve and you learn more each hour you play the game.
The only negative things about this game imo are a few bugs (Sound goes out for some players on certain maps, The Server Browser is horrid). I have not had any big lag spikes or dissconects either, its almost like alot of reviewers played this game for 5 hours and then thats it. You learn more and more after 15 hours in this game.
Some might say there is not enough conent in this game but for me its a perfect amount. If the gameplay is TOP NOTCH like this then you dont need a million maps.
Great gameplay, awesome level design, nice artwork, HUGE fun factor and some great custimization/leveling up also!
I know I already said this, but this game here is a BREATH OF FRESH AIR with the things it brings to the table. Unfortunatly most gamers these days seem to want ME FIRST! style online FPS instead of team oriented ones. DO yourself a favor and pick up one of the best online games this gen, BRINK! (TF2 and Bad Company2 are the only online games this gen that are even close to as awesome as Brink is).
Its almost like people didnt even play the PC version of this game before they reviewed it, as it has WAY less issues then the console versions. Oh well, yet just another game that scores average but that I love. I recently bought Portal2 and DeadSpace2 and this game destroys those games from a FUN FACTOR point of view.
If you have some friends who love team work based games then buy it and get your friends to buy it to, I could see this game being a very cult/niche title.
We dont get many unique games like this anymore, especially in the FPS genre, go out on a limb and give this game a chance, dont let so called PRO reviewers tell you if a game is good or not.
In the end this is one of the most surprising games Ive ever played, I was expecting a average game but whats here is fantastic and much better then 90% of the FPS released this gen.
This game is a few more patches away from being a masterpeice imo (They have already released 2 patches in two-three days after release), plus there is an editor coming for pc version soon to!

Plenty of fun, and some new ideas to keep you playing. NOT the next huge shooter, though.

A potentially epic game let down at the last hurdle - Don't buy.

Although somewhat fun, there are a lot of major flaws that places the game into a town called mediocrity!

Unfortunately, Brink is another failed FPS game released in 2011 to fill up the list...

Terrible Campaign, boring levels, bad level design and no story! MP is not worth it with TF2 free. Overall bad.
