OK, I admit its no KILLZONE3 but I don't even need or want to compare it to that juggernaut. When you play BRINK and your team is focused on the objectives of each mission and each member is helping eachother to complete the specific goals, BRINK delivers. Don't be biased by the low scores. You owe it to yourself to check this game out.
Other games might be technically more advanced but in my opinion, BRINK is a solid game. Truthfully, I have not experienced any lag, bugs or other problems mentioned in the reviews. However, I do believe the two campaigns are a bit short, simplistic and / or perhaps generic, for example, escort, retrieve, deliver, defend, attack, etc. We've been there, done that, a thousand times before but BRINK manages to somehow feel unique in a way that justifies the retail price I paid for the game.
This new IP deserves better than the ratings it got from the magazines and online critics. Believe me, I scour the reviews before I buy a game at retail price on day one. I really want to be as sure as possible that I'll be happy with a game after investing my hard earned dollars. Usually, I agree more than 90 % with the game critics but in this case, I don't. I DO recommend BRINK on its FUN factor. I give BRINK a 7 out of 10. Check it out.
