One of the best classic RPGs ever.
It takes place in a huge fantasy world with lots of different environments and dozens of cities, each with it's own unique style.
The story is actually pretty good, with a great mystery that unfolds slowly as you unveil a worldwide conspiracy, and characters will join your expedition along the way. All the characters have a defined personality and diferent skills that will play an important role during the game.
There are also tons of side quests and stuff to do apart from the story, such as building your own town (you even get to chose the style of the buildings) and get people to live there (which will give you all kind of abilities and extras) or recruit the 6 shamans who are hidden worldwide to transform your characters into more powerful versions of themselves, to name a few.
So, if you enjoy this kind of games and haven't played this, you are definitely missing one of the best games on this genre.
