This was probably brought up years ago but isn't she supposed to be a kid? If so, why do people always talk about how hot she is and how her ass is visible? Even the IGN review mentioned her being hot and talked about her ass.......but she's a kid.....

I'm a bit confused why people are getting super technical with the definition of pedophilia. It's used to describe an affinity for underage sex all the time. I didn't realize that a lot of gamefaqs users are also psychiatrists.....
I realize that Yuno isn't technically human either and that she's not real. I just made the thread to point out that it's a bit strange that people are perving out on a 15 year old in a video game. I still think it's weird that the devlopers didn't just make her 18. I mean, why bother putting in ass shots and then making the girl 15? I don't know, whatever.

Right....you should totally tell someone in real life that you're not a pedophile for lusting over a 15 year old cat girl in a video game. I'm sure it'll spark a lively intelligent debate about the age of consent in different cultures as well as the etymology involved with the word itself.
I really didn't make the topic to argue about the definition of pedophilia. I just think it's strange that people are so willing to talk about how hot an underage video game girl is - yes I know, underage by NA standards.
I still think the developers could have just made her 18. It almost seems like they were trying to go for some controversy but it didn't really work since everyone seems to agree that Yuno is hot and so on.
Anyways, this is a pretty great game. I like how it's more of a traditional RPG.

The re tarded would label you as one, the more smart ones would tell you its a normal urge but you shouldn't act out on it and either find some way to distract yourself or seek some help.(One that doesn't have the shrink suddenly calling the FBI on you)

I was playing this game the other day and had to come back here to check.
I'm really surprised this topic is still around. I have no idea what a pedobear is, and frankly I don't want to know. I'm quite shocked that gamefaqs users, or I guess one gamefaqs user, knows so much about pedophilia. Oh sorry, herbaphilia or whatever the accepted vernacular is for wanting to do perverted things to an underage fictitious cat girl.
If people think that it's such a normal thing, then why aren't there reviewers and other players talking about how they want to bone the male protagonist? Somehow underage sex talk is accepted when it's about a woman but not a man?

It seems like you're the one who should cool down. You told me to pull my head out of my ass over the definition of pedophilia. I didn't realize that the exact textbook definition of the word and how it applies to game characters is such a contentious issue here. I didn't say you called yourself a big shot either - I'm not even sure why you went off on a tangent there. It's like you didn't even read what I typed, but just looked at one word and decided to flip out.
And I don't see why it matters that there are fewer (the word is fewer not less by the way) female gamers. There are also gay gamers to augment the numbers. So again, I have to ask why it's acceptable to talk about having sex with a 15 year old girl in a video game but nobody dares say the same thing about a male of the same age? Is it because the male character isn't wearing skimpy clothing? If he was wearing a speedo would people be all over him?
I was looking at the IGN review again and the headline says "Is it wrong that a half-human / half-cat girl looks soooo hot?" Like seriously did the developers pay review sites to comment on how hot this cat girl is? I find it really hard to believe that so many people (including so called professional reviewers) openly talk about how they want to bone her. I guess since she isn't real there's no fear that some kid is going to get raped by horny gamers. Though, I'd still question why they're so turned on by fake girls who are not even of age.

Again I refer to my second to last post. What is your point? This isn't the only damn media in the world that has sexualized teenagers before, its been done millions of times before.
