Stuck in Chapter 3 (spoilers)

Hi all,

I'm in chapter 3, just got the remedy for Tim but now I'm stuck. I'm supposed to talk to Jam's dad in front of the restaurant (which I did) and now I'm supposed to go to the Inn to talk to Wanda and Macho so they can tell me about how the monsters are coming from the restaurant. When I select the chat function and choose their rooms the innkeeper says "I don't think it's possible now." I've tried it at different times on different days and still nothing. Is this a glitch or did I miss something important? HELP!!!

I tried that but Musashi just goes in and then comes back out because he doesn't know to look behind the counter. Eventually I figured this out. I had to go back and talk to the girl at the bakery to trigger the event with her dad again and then only after that could I talk to the people in the Inn....
