Terrible music!

It's really quite sad to see this absolute masterpiece receive such unfounded hate.

The fact that this got a higher score than LBP 1 and 2 makes me angry.

So what? You can change time so you dont start again (erm, see the brilliant Sands of Time on the PS2) and it sounds awful. This looks like a game someone made on the old Nat Yaroze Playstation about 12 years ago. Fully appreciate that gameplay is vitally important but Comet Crash, Savage Moon, Critter Crunch etc all prove you can have both on the PSN at a budget price. Sorry, this looks like a terrible game.

No idea how something that looks at home on a Sega Master System gets a 9.5 as a 2010 PS3 game.

if this game is supposed to be rated according to it's genre then it should not be included in with ratings from other genres but seeing as how it is i can't say that it compares at all to some other games which were even rated lower how this gets a 9.5 baffles me frankly it looks like someone took a mario game stripped away the music and added a lame feature to it

people don't get that games are rated on over all quality of the game , genre doesn't matter after all some game have more than one genre , anyways this is very enjoyable and it deserves its rating because it is of near perfect quality of game play !

smookert010: MGS4 and GTA4 are the highest rated PS3 games, both got a 10. And I don't see why Braid having a high score is funny, it's a brilliant game.

When did a higher score for a game in a different genre mean a better game overall? This game got a 9.5 as a puzzler, and thus, it is of high quality. HR, ACII, RE5 (disappointing game in most aspects, in fact) and UC2 are in other genres entirely, they can't be compared. Please, haters, get to your own senses. I was very logical when I reviewed this game and gave it a 9.5, so I agree with GS entirely. It's a fantastic game, period. If you can't establish objective criticism, then you shouldn't comment much. Adieu.

You know, not everyone likes the same game. LOTS of people like puzzle games, you know where you use something called a brain, that is located in your skull.. Just because a game does not feature machine guns, zombies, or large explosions does not make it a bad game. There are lots of different genres of gamers. This game is high for its genre, but comparing this game to say a FPS, would be like comparing apples to oranges. If you do not like these types of games, than do not play them...and do not comment when one gets a good score!!

What most people here have done so stupidly are the following: 1. Started the game with a negative preconceived opinion 2. Think that 2D games don't belong on consoles and are boring (the most stupid thing I've heard for some time) 3. Judge a game based on graphics and sound only (how old are you, seriously) 4. Think this game is ripping off Mario (it's literally trying to be a bit like Mario, that's the point. There are plants that jump from pipes and enemies that are called Goombas!) 5. How does this game even compare to Donkey Kong. It's much more Super Mario Bros. than anything else 6. Don't even try the game or give it a chance I applaud GS for daring to award innovation and clever gameplay. And, sorry, but if you think the graphics suck, you really need glasses.
