We chat about Borderlands with Mikey Neumann, a guy who can get you things.
Lol! I love this guy! We need more people like this in the world. Mikey Neumann, you're an instant legend! Kind of reminds of my friend Greg actually. ;)
Mikey Neumann reminds me of a pre-Gears of War Cliff Bleszinski. Lets hope Mikey doesn't start thinking he's God when his game does well too.
I agree with the previous statement that the music is far too loud and distracting. Also, the interviewer needs to learn how far to place himself in relation to the microphone, I can't hear him at all. Not that what he says is really what matters, but it's nice to know what's being asked. The more I see about this game, the more I'm interested. Assuming my PC can handle it, I'll probably pick it up for the multiplayer.
Really looking forward to this!!!
"Ridiculous amount of guns". I love that statement. The multiplayer segment of this game should be outstanding. They are really hyping this game up - I truly hope it delivers what they say.
Nice, but gotta say.. the music is pretty annoying and way too loud for an interview.
crap
i will probably die before i can use every gun in this game....but i will definitely try to use them all
hey that guys awesome - a guy that can get you things lol great show
hey that guys awesome - a guy that can get you things lol great show

the guy bein Interviewed is very enthustiastic about this game..it has me infected..cant wait.
posterized edge, much? looks great tho
The dude has style though.
LOL, this guys are going full throtle with the marketing. Using Halo, Diablo, etc... to characterize the game, instantly rings a bell to fans of those series.
Yes genericuser12 There will be millions of weapons, and no RaceBannon_, there wont be millions just because "there are a bunch of base weapons, all with varying stats, numbers of stats. which have special attatchments with stats, and other customization, which essentially means that there are "millions" of weapon combinations". If you watch and read other material, they have an AI weapons creator that allows their game to literally have millions of different weapons because they dont have to design them all.
Gamespot, stop with the background music thing. It's so annoying. Now, this game will be epic in every aspect. Fallout 3 was game of the year last year and this is also going the same way. A multiplayer Fallout 3 it's just insane. Where do I sign!?
hahaha omg the music...great game though
@racebannon wtf? sonic has drinks? i thought hedgehogs just drank out of puddles and they all taste like pepsi.
It's already been said, but I'll say it again. Please listen Gamespot... Turn down the volume of the music!!! Or preferably leave it out altogether, at the very least during interviews. And somebody tell the interviewer that you need to hold a microphone close to your mouth or it tends not to work very well.
@ GenericUser12: there are a bunch of base weapons, all with varying stats, numbers of stats. which have special attatchments with stats, and other customization, which essentially means that there are "millions" of weapon combinations, even if a bunch of those weapons are the same thing with +/- 1 stat. it's like how Sonic says it has over 160,000 different drinks. it's just different flavors mixed together with a base choice of drink.
"a guy who can get you things" lol! cool phrase...
man, if i hear one more games 'salesperson' at E3 mention "meaningful choices" i will not buy their game....sigh buzz word tards...
For serious, adjust background music to be lower than audio for interview and gameplay. I wont ask for the game footage to corelate(sp) with interview of course. I won;'t comment on the graphics as it's all about the gameplay right? Looks very interesting and I love the title. Oh yes, the logo too, it'll get all the conspiracy nuts hot and bothered.
@Sigleaf - Amen! Don't help that the guy can't keep the mic in front of the person talking. At least they got game play video.
Why is there this annoying music in the background? It makes it difficult to hear what the hell they are saying....
Millions of weapons? Yeah right, this guy is full of it. Do people really think there are going to be that many weapons? It's just a marketing ploy people.
WEAPONZ WEAPONZ WEAPONZ WEAPONZ and more WEAPONZ. Especially love the xbox live side of this game. By The Way love that dude's glasses. Love HALO/ CALL OF DUTY/ FPS games lol........so this is going to be fun.
Beautiful definitely a pre-order for me multiplayer online with my buds is going to be the best videogame adventure ever
This game seems like it'll be the FPS equivilent of SSB: fast-paced, chaotic, fun, and as dependent on what you find in the arena as how skilled you are. Sounds good to me.
Have not seen much of this game before now, but definitely one to keep an eye on
This game looks like a good one, and the art is really cool looking.
OMG! SPLIT SCREEN LOCAL CO-OP!!!!!!!YES!!!!!!! ...............MY No.1 game I'm waiting for!
I was scared when I heard about the "humor" however the game still looks fast and fun. I hope that they dont do the flashing green number like at 2:05 in the final product. Just might pre order this one
@ aang007 they will probably not have a unique sound for each gun more than likely what will happen is each gun "tree" will have a unique sound meaning each specific type will have a specific sound, the good part about this is the fat that each different gun will take part in multiple trees combining certain effects from the various "trees" for instance we could have 3 different sounds for each weapon: fire, impact, and chamber one weapon may have a certain fire rate or style giving it that "trees" sound for firing and then it could have a special impact such as an explosion or acid this in turn would have a "tree" sound and lastly it would chamber a cartridge in a specific way it might be gear based or bolt action, etc. each having a unique sound "tree" obviously there would be more and more ways in which the sounds could deviate and hence although each sound may not be unique each weapon has its own unique sound
can't wait PS: "crap"
Looks great, but i have one concern. How are they going to make all the sounds of these weapons? I mean is every gun going to sound the same? How do you generate sound for millions of guns?
haha yeaaa this and Rage are on the top of ma wishlist!!!
the guy hes interviewing is a MS and blizzard fanboy...
I have both a PS3 and an XBOX360. Whenever I want a game to play online I buy it for the PS3 cuz I don't have live. However, after seeing this, even if the game is on PS3 as well, I want a much larger community to play with so I'm not only getting this game, I am also opening up a Live! account because of this.
Looks great. Only one problem, and I know people are going to hate me for this, but all of that blood is unnecessary. Personally, if I punch a guy and blood explodes out of his body - that's not very realistic. It doesn't make the game look cool IMHO. Hopefully you can turn the blood off? I don't know - that's just my opinion.
Another 3D Cel Shaded game, like XIII
What would be a real game to you, Blaze?
**** halo and wow bring back the real games
yay borderlands
that guy is completely cracked out and the people have spoken we want guns
I can't wait for the game! And there is a lot inspired by Fallout 3. I was skeptical at first about how cel-shaded graphics would look like but it is amazing.
