- Just Right

- 40 to 100 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Just plain fun"
(+) Tons of Guns, many sidequests, fun solo or co-op story, lots of re playability.
(-) minor glitches with a few sidequests.
Borderlands was a gamble since it combined the rpg elements with fast paced gun fights witch turned out very well. There is four playable characters a siren a fast heavy hitting smg type, a soldier, that is good with shotgun and combat(assault) rifles, a hunter that is good with snipers and pistils, and a tank like character that is good at first but, I think you shouldn't use the berzerker because rockets are underpowered witch makes him very difficult to play as on playthrough two. Each has an action skill that could help you out like deploying a turret to attack and distract enemies or beating the crap out of them with your fists.
The difficulty varies on who you pick since other characters have better skills that can be obtained by going up levels. The loot system isn't bad but there are so many weak guns dropped and too few rares at times. The rarity value is marked by the color of the text white being common, green being uncommon and so on I found out that most of the white ones had bad stats so they can easily be sold. There are many different types of weapons included in the game smgs, shotguns, launchers, pistils, revolvers and there are countless variations for the weapons like a faster fire rate, extended mag size, or an elemental effect for the gun.
The story of the game is decent but, I just liked advancing so that I could take down the other bosses and tougher enemies because its always more fun when they actually put up a fight. I didn't care for many of the character especially claptrap since he keeps repeating the same few lines over and over again I know that they were trying to make him funny he is a few times but he is more annoying. There was also a lack of an interesting villain too.
Borderlands is easy to get hooked on though with the leveling system huge amount of different guns and there is lots to do in Pandora. Sometimes there were a few glitches that messed me up but nothing major so if you like shooters or rpgs you should get this game it's worth it.

Yes, Skagzilla can be defeated without dying. Lilith used an incendiary SMG, and finished with a shotgun. Proof of one play is placing the bait.Posted Dec 28, 2010
