Borderlands is one of the best shooters i ever had so much fun with my whole life. Simply Perfect
Pros:
+ Great shooter/rpg mechanichs
+ Lots of varied and fun to use Guns
+ Cool and funny characters (with some exceptions)
+ Fun multiplayer
Cons:
- Decent graphics
- Annoying voiceocers
Presentation:
The presentation of this game is what I love the most. Like I said before, Borderlands is set in a postapocalyptic world called Pandora, where you get to use tons of futuristic weapons and guns with lots of variety; also, the game provides a cool intro movie.
Gampelay:
Borderlands has excellent gameplay mechanics, shooting feels great and natural, and the rpg mechanics are intuitive; and a feature which I found so amazing is that the character doesn't have that bland regenerative health mechanic(unless you upgrade your character with better shields) that most shooter get to use.
Singleplayer Experience:
Amazing, while some people may argue about having fun playing this game solo, I didn't care one bit if I played it solo or coop. Finishing Borderlands's main quests could take from 16 to 20 hours, without counting the time you get to spare doing side quests or buying and selling guns and equipment.
Multiplayer Experience:
Borderlands's story mode can be played cooperativetly with up to 4 players; playing with my friends was really good fun, and I highly recommend playing it on LAN parties
Graphics:
The visual stlye that Borderlands use, is cel-shaded, which is decent, or better yet, fine enough to make it pleasant to look at while you play. Compared to other shooters that falls on the same category may look better, but those games has all the arsenal of tons of guns that only Borderlands offers? I don't think so.
Audio/Sound Fx:
The sound effects of Borderlands are generally good.. Ok, maybe some guns will sound like plastic toys, but who cares? I'm for sure that I don't. And the music themes are well fit with game's ambient and enviroment
Overall:
Say whatever you want about Borderlands, If you make me choose between fallout, rage or borderlands, I'll go with Borderlands anytime, as Borderlands is one of my favourite games of all time, and one hell of a shooter/rpg hybrid. Plus there's also all the DLC content released so far that will guarantee tons of hours of playtime
