Color coding loot rarity?

.is there a color code to determine the rarity of the loot on the ground ? Is it simply a green is everywhere and red is rare code? thanks in advance.--> GRAZEN

I would like to know this too. I find greens and blues. Sometimes purples.

Is pearl really the best? I heard that they were just the uniques.. but that they weren't anything TOO special. Well.. I guess they are the most rare anyway.

well i put them there since they are above orange in the inventory and i have only found 1 pearl and like 20 oranges

And when all is said and done, the usefulness of a lot of the more rare weapons is a joke. Honestly I've seen blues and greens tha are far better than yellows and oranges of equal weapon type. Not that I care, i'm just pointing out that cost and item color really don't represent the quality of said item at all. As a matter of fact i've seen items that have the same but worse stats priced at like 6 times the amount of it's lesser counterpart. Also i've used a green weapon for a while now and have sold and passed on yellows and oranges for the simple fact they really weren't as good.

I have a fairly crappy gold revolver stat wise. Only benefit is regerating ammo.
