1 Like Borderlands 2 and Skyrim are the only games I'm still replaying. Both games are GOTY as far as im concerned. The rest were good for one play through then were forgettable.
I didn't play the first game and I got this one just out of curiosity... Man, was I asleep or what! I Love it, it's loads of fun! The Visual style, the characters and sense of humor. If you like FPS's and RPG's just get this!
2 Like The review says this is better in almost every way to the first game, then they give it the same score as BL1. It also says the pc version is much better than the console version and gives all 3 the same score. I haven't played the console versions but no way is the pc version of this game an 8.5. What were you thinking GS?
1 Like @eione808 That is because what got an 8.5, say, four years ago, would get a far worse score now, since the average quality of games constantly rises in the market.
1 Like Just finished the game.Awesome story but some of the side quests are a little bit annoying.So its 9/10 from me.
Picked up Borderlands 2 a few days ago bc I heard the first one was a lot of fun and wanted something different to keep me occupied till AC3. Let's just say, this game is awesome! I'm not even a huge fan of first person shooters, but I'll play this for a long time.

hmmmmhhh... Am I the only one finding some maps relative to specific quests too much linear and some quests that ask to return in different times in the very same maps??
4 Like If you like this game for the art style then you must get it on pc. I have it on pc and ps3, and the difference is so great. Even if your computer sucks, the world still looks better on low settings than it does on console, though ultra on everything is where its at :) Most successfully optimised PC game I have ever seen, and thats saying something
2 Like low score.... must I remind you Batman Arkham City is also very repetitive and still got a 9 or smth? Borderlands is repetitive but extremely exciting and addictive. Long and hilarious.... This is a 9.0 game, no matter what.
@arruu2000 Given that there is still issues with the interface especially in the co-op couch mode it seems a fair score.

1 Like @ElfShotTheFood Cool review? It wasn't even a review. Not even a preview! The guy absolutely didn't give any info about the game. All he said, I knew myself. He was just shouting "OH, MY GOD, KOOL GUNS, GUNS, GUNS..." Just like a two years old kid. He didn't talked about the game's flaws or anything. Why he gave it 8.5? How good is the story? How are the mechanics? How controls feel? Nothings. Is there any innovation in it, if not, why the hell he is so freaking happy about?
God, game reviewer these days don't know nothing about what makes a good game.

I only meant my comment to be directed at people who played part 1, I'm relying on the people who haven't played it to disregard any of what I said because they know it doesn't apply to them. that 1 particular thing the reviewer said is not adequate for those people.
I didn't tell him to leave, I suggested to read other reviews in addition to Gamespot. I wouldn't tell anyone to GTFO and expect them to obey me anyway, they shouldn't
Kickblade, unless you are actually assuming everyone played borderlands 1 then you are being a troll. I think his last comment went a bit far but was pretty accurate, even though I did enjoy the review. This isn't your site please don't speak for us all and tell someone to leave.

@rezabrando @ElfShotTheFood the review started with "it takes everything you had in Borderlands and did it better" then repeated almost the same thing at the end making it sound like a minor flaw. that tells you about the mechanics, controls, innovation. the rest of the review summed the other aspects up just fine except the story. I don't want to know details about the story, he said the world feels more "alive" a lot more than part 1, that's good enough.
no one's forcing you to rely on only Gamespot's review, stop whining and supplement it with other sites
@rezabrando @ElfShotTheFood if you want an "extensive review" see angry joe on youtube, that guy does a half hour reviews on everything. i personally like "the first impression" reviews better. they are more honest. And i have played Borderlands 2 for a while now...the review is 100% correct.
@rezabrando @ElfShotTheFood Agree on some points but that's going a bit to far mate, I think he took to much for granted the viewer played Borderlands 1.
