Im lvl 17 at the moment and just turned in the quest "Splinter Group" to Tannis. After which that is a prompt which asked if I want to skip a quest which I've already done in someone else's game. I tried clicking "No" but the highlight jumped to "Yes". After which, I get quick-travelled to outside Sanctuary. Does anyone knows whats going on?

It's because you've done one or several story quests in multiplayer, it skipped to the point you haven't done yet.

I really hate how you can end up with a yes even when clicking no in that situation.

I can't help much with the topic on hand, but as a side note for later. When selling items, be sure to watch what item is highlighted in the menu. There is a known glitch that still isn't fixed where the cursor will highlight items in reverse position in accordance to your mouse. In other words, you scroll your mouse down through the list, but the in-game highlighted cursor is moving up in the list.

I've sold a few really good weapons I didn't want to sell because of this glitch and only realized what I had done after I left the area or exited the game. This can cripple a game if you accidentally sell your best gun, so just be careful when selling gear.

I've had that glitch happen enough to me even with the small amount of time I've been playing.

I think this is similar to the Skyrim Menu problem where it must have been developed for the console and then ported. Possibly, in my opinion as a programmer, a problem with the menu saving the previous position of the cursor and the mouse not updating it properly all the time. Even if it's something more complicated, it can't be too much more, so I don't understand why it hasn't been patched.

At least Skyrim's menu problems are buried deep.

so I don't understand why it hasn't been patched.

It's supposed to have been patched a while ago.
