Ok so i know that jack has the Vault symbol burned on his face but is there any knowledge on how that happened? or how he knows how many sirens there are in the galaxy. or how he knew about all the vaults and what not......

There are 6 sirens alive at any time.

The emblem on his face was most likely caused by Angel.

Vault Symbol on his face is probably from Angel.

My guess is that when he he had the vault symbol burned onto his face, he was also given a bunch of knowledge about the vaults on pandora or saw a bit of the future. Your guess is as good as mine I suppose. =/

I think it's common knowledge that only 6 sirens can exist at once in the BL universe. That being said he only knew about 3 of them. Angel, Lilith, Maya.

I'm pretty sure it was mentioned explicitly at some point in BL1, since I knew about the 6 Sirens thing while playing that game, without spending any time on the wiki or forums.

And assuming people are born as Sirens, only 5 would really be "around" in BL2's time frame since Steele's successor would only be 4 years old or so.
