We head to Liverpool, the home of Bizarre creations, to chat to lead designers Gareth Wilson and Jed Talbot about the powered-up racing game Blur.
Buying this
It'd look even better if they added roof or bonnet-mounted auto-cannon, but that aside it still looks fun. Definitely one for my collection.
Seems like stupid "pander to the ADD types" of gameplay. A game for people who can't drive a sim. And yes, the steering looks pathetic.
console gets project gotham, pc gets this.....no fair!
looll at 4:03 and 4:09, the license plates have LOL and BRB on them, coincidence or wat!?
I hope the PC version has all the same features as the Xbox version. My main problem though is the steering. In all these videos cars keep crashing into the sides, it doesn't look like they take corners very well. I also hope the PC version has 2-player split screen, I doubt it would have 4 unless it incorporates some kind of external controller compatibility.
looks ok
I hope the PC multiplayer functions in the same way as Xbox live. As i may be getting it for PC and save £15 and the cost of an xbox live subscription.
I thought the game would be simple and idiotic, but after playing the beta, I will have to say I'm really anticipating it.
i ll get this game its muaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
This and Split/Second are a must have for me.
Mario kart with real cars... epic success
its like a arcade game with betta graphics looks good
okay, it's mario kart. what?
Is this a game, or someone's face?
I want to play this game!!! Looks awesome.
Awesome 8)
looking good, and multiplayer look forward.racing game is always fun.
i think the game has new concept along with racing, hope it has good controls
Biggest difference between Split/Second and Blur seems to be that Split/Second focuses on environmental hazards you have to get past while Blur focuses on performing tricks to earn fans. Both allow you to attack other cars. Anyone seen any videos of Blur with environmental hazards other than falling into the water? Does Split/Second mention tricks to earn fans like Blur does?
looks awesome
I dropped midnight club , NFS , and Burnout in a bottle, and out came Blur.... The 20 player M/P seems the key power of this game.
@ukrainerules: I thought the same thing!
Niiice! Looks just like Re-volt, just this time it's packing real life cars. :D
i doesn't use xbl to much and this game looks like its based on online , so i am out
racing games with something new always work
mario go-cart meets nfs only without upgrades. yawn
Honestly thought I was watching a video for Split/Second there. I really want to get a racing game but don't know which of these two I want to get. =/
Well started tracking this game a long time ago. Then Split/Second came on the scene and it looked like Blur was going to end up as the poor relation but with the last couple of videos for this it is looking better and better and I'm thinking I'm going to end up with both games!!!
I think I will get this game.
