Blue dragon is a classic JRPG a very good one.
The good:
+Nice combat system with a lot of variation and spells
+Skill system is very complex and take a lot of time, lot of hours just to tweak this aspect of the game.
+Very lengthy game, 50 hours if you rush through the game it took me 60 by doing some side quest, i didn't complete it 100%
+Lot and lot of items to use I mean a lot!
+You can see the enemies and there is a very complex system behind it.
+Voice acting i really like it and you can choose to hear the Japanese voices or English, few games let you do this so point in favor.
+Good variation of things, its not always the same, in some part you have a plane to go all around the map, and different fights with that plane too, mine games etc
The bad:
- The music is really bad! few songs really few and when you fight is only one music and is a really bad one, i have to mute the music of the game :( first time i dont like the music in a JRPG
- The story is very veeeery week and very childish too... when the game tries to be a little more serious the story gets good again but it happens a very few times in the game :(
- No map, the game is very maze like but you dont have a map!!!I hate it!
- Having to check all the little things in the scenario to look for items its good at the begging but after you do it 400times it gets really boring and tedious and there are like 1800 places to check yeah i'm not kidding...
-not a lot of side quest to do, the game is very linear.
Not good or bad:
The game is very veeeery slow, you have to play it at least 5 hours just to start it, and 10 to really understand how it works completely so if you get bored quickly or you dont like slow games dont play it, but then again is a jrpg they tend to be slow
Graphics are neither good or bad there are just different very dragon ball like.

In conclusion if you are a fan of jrpg you will like this game if not well this is not your game at all.
