Man, this game was so hard, but when I was a kid... haha wow, how delightfully evil for an 11 year old.

I remember my initial test out of this game was during the christmas break from school, in 1996, my brother had rented it from our local Shop n' Save, and I was enthralled when I watched him play, the graphics at that time were pretty stunning, and to hear not only voice acting, but alot of GOOD voice acting in a video game was beyond me at the time, I got to pick it up and play later on in the night, and I don't think I've ever been so creeped out by something I was controlling, Kain's voice was delightfully evil and strong, and sucking blood for health was absolutely awesome. There are some cut scene movies in this game which, for it's heyday, were pretty impressive, the gameplay is a bit slow which gives you a very good "Oh my god I'm going to die!" feel during battles, but I forgive it just for the transformations you could do and how gratifying it was to make it further into this crawler of a game.. Although I can easily say this game isn't for everybody, anybody with a love for evil or vampirous things in general should atleast check it out.
