The Legend of Zelda mixed with time traveling vampires. Hoorah!

User Rating: 7.1 | Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain PS
The Legacy of Kain series has had it's ups and downs. Partly from a story that didn't really go anywhere and major continuity issues. This is the game that started it all. Blood Omen, The Legacy of Kain. Kain is your bas ass vampire who started off as a nobleman from Coorhagen (it's a fictional town in Nosgoth). He's killed on his way out of a local tavern and resurrected as a vampire. The game has high amounts of gore and blood, which is why it's M rated. There tends to be a lot of narrative within the game, which helps push the story along, but it can also be a pain because most of the time you simply want to play the game rather than hear Kain explain something. The graphics are sub-par, but this is a PS One game. The narrative can get convoluted at times, and some plot twists seemed jammed, but overall, this game is quite the keeper.
