In Blinx you play as a cat called Blinx who works in the time factory along with thousands of other time sweepers (who are all cats) who suck up time crystals using their time sweepers. If time crystals are left lying around for too long they turn into monsters. You must prevent the Tom Tom Gang (a bunch of pigs) from stealing all of the time crystals. You suck up trash in your sweeper and shoot it at the time monsters. When a time monster dies several time crystals appear. By collecting 3 time crystals of the same colour you get a time control that can be used to your advantage. These include pause, rewind and slow. Each world is called a round and there are 3 stages and a boss stage in each round. there is also a shop in each round that becomes available after you complete the second stage. You can buy new sweepers, bombs, new jackets and other stuff in these shops. At the start of the game your sweeper can only hold 5 pieces of trash but you can buy a sweeper pack that doubles that to ten. There are a variety of different monsters including Chrono Blobs, Spikers and Molegons. At the end of each level you get money for the trash in your sweeper and every type of trash has a set value. Each level has a 10 minute time limit. The lives system is called retries and you can purchase extra retries or retry holders from the shops. The game starts to get hard on the third round. The bosses are usually giant versions of normal time monsters. The graphics and soundtack are brilliant and this is a quality platformer. If you own an XBOX, get this game. An instant classic.
