CARNAGE SCISSORS.....Distortion Finish!!!

  • Posted Apr 26, 2011 12:30 am GMT
Difficulty:
Hard
Time Spent:
100 or More Hours
The Bottom Line:
"Just plain fun"
BlazBlue:Continuum Shift is the best fighting game on this gen console's.

The game adds 3 new characters that were not playable in BB:CT and 3 DLC characters, 2 available now and 1 of them coming out soon. So in total 18 crazy ass characters to choose from....You might be thinking "LOL only 18 characters thats lame I'll go play SSF4"...Well the difference is each character in BlazBlue is DIFFERENT and very UNIQUE, They all have there own moves, style, tactics and drive moves which makes each character feel very special and fun to use whilst still being very well balanced.

Story: If you haven't played BB:CT the story will confuse the heck out of you..Hell even if you've played BB:CT the story will confuse you :P..But its very deep and complexed and you can tell a lot of effort and hard work went into it...BB:CT and BB:CS are fighting games with a good story for a change which is rare for fighting games.

Graphics: Beautiful anime sprites will be flying across your screen, with well designed backgrounds, There is some very clichéd characters E.G..Girl with big boobs, shy girl with big guns and Muscularly guy with six-pack but they have great personality and the character design is still nice as they wear great costume's with great colors.

Sound: Just like BB:CT, BB:CS has an AMAZING soundtrack, you'll be enjoying the game while listening to great J-Pop and other crazy instruments. The game comes with Japanese and English Dubs, The English dubs are great and alot better then other Japanese games and its great to have the choice and its easy to switch between the too.

Game-play: The most important thing in a fighting game is the gameplay and this is were BlazBlue shines the most. If you've played Guilty Gear before you will feel right at home and you'll be comparing characters from GG to BB. If your new to the series then game will be very complexed but there are great tutorials and training modes to help you become a good BB player and soon you'll be flying across the screen doing flashy combos and kicking your opponents ass with Distortion Finishes and Astral Heats. Each character has there own special Drive Attack with makes every character unique and special.
The Netcode is very good, you will rarely see any lag during gameplay with is essential in a fighting game as fast as BlazBlue. You can join rooms with up to 5 other people and you can quick chat and use your mic to talk smack and give each other tips.

Pros:
Unique Characters
Lots of Game Modes (Arcade,Vs,Online,Legion Mode,Score Attack and more)
Similar to Guilty Gears
Fast, Flashy and Fun Gameplay
Very Balanced
Netcode is the Best in a Fighting Game

Cons:
You Might Hate the Anime Style
Very Complexed
Only 1 Unlockable

Better then SSF4, Better then MvC3, Better then MK9.....If you've played Guilty Gears and you haven't played BlazBlue yet...Your doing it WRONG
If you love fighting games and haven't played BlazBlue..Your doing it WRONG!

Thanks for Reading

  1. Tsubaki Yayoi is a new character of Blazblue Continuum Shift. She looks nice, but I'm wondering if her moves are gonna stand her look.....
