It's a hype for sure. But if you are not addicted to 2D beat 'em ups you might be disappointed.

User Rating: 8 | BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger PS3
In my opinion BlazBlue (BB) is better than SF4. Especially it's more easy to learn it for beginners. And i guess i'm a beginner too though. And it's much more faster.

The online mode is incredible. I can't explain it to me how Aksys managed it to provide lag-free games. Even games between Germany (my place) and Japan (the opponent).

I don't like it to play against pro's online all the time. The room creation option should make it possible to select the max level allowed to join.

The soundtrack is not my taste. Especially because it's played all the time. It makes med mad ^^ So i turn on my own music on the HiFi.

Graphics are great and the fighting arenas are well designed and animated. BB is a joy for the eyes.

Either way. BB is a perfect game for beginners and all-pros, but the ratings about the game are all wrong. It's a solid beat 'em up. But nothing spectacular about it. In my case I bought a Arcade Stick for BB because i got "hyped" too. Nevertheless it's manga/anime style beat 'em up.
