This game is from the creators of Guilty Gear, a very good 2D fighting game designed to be competitive and fun.
Blazblue is similar to Guilty Gear, in many ways than one. However the game itself is not a clone of Guilty Gear. It is more easier to get into than GG because of the technical aspects. Aspects such as Easy specials and a longer interval in which you can connect moves.
Gameplay
The gameplay is very good. The game offers characters that have completely unique playstyles, from easy to the hardest. Learning each character is really fun and challenging.
Graphics
It's a very nicely done 2D game. Each frame flows great, and the artstyle adds a lot for the game to be one of the more beautiful 2D fighting games around.
Overall
The game is very addictive with it's online and it's unique characters. The story is also unique compared to other non-arc system works games because of the focus on it.
The game itself is not without negatives though. Because of the nature of each character, a tutorial for each character would of been a very nice addition. The learning curve varies from person to person because of that. Players who played Guilty Gear a lot would feel great with the game, but people who started with BB will feel that the learning curve is a bit to steep.
