One of the first to push the FPS genre to where it is now. this is a good reminder of how far it has come...

I have lived to see the three Dimensional game revolution take place, and this game really had big hand in helping to bring it about. with it's own innovations and new shooting system, blake stone realing was the game that started the science fiction horror / survival genre. your assumed role is that of an agent sent to eliminate a corporate maniac who has created an arsenal of fierce aliens. the new innovations in the FPS formula deal with health restoration and traversing from level to level. rather than getting health packs, you use collected food tokens to purchase food from vending machines, which is very original. also, the system regarding the traversing of levels was original in the sense that it was non-linear. you had to use an elevator to go to different levels, and you could always go back to previous levels if necessary. with that, i'd say that if you are into FPS games, then you with surely enjoy this game a little bit...
