A game ahead of its time.

Not only is this game better than doom, its a lot more fun as well. With concepts that hadn't been implemented yet (Vending machines, talking to people for information etc), Blake Stone was, in my opinion, a cornerstone for many of the games we have today. Stone has a different feel than doom, which is a good thing because while doom is "oh, another demon. Joy", Stone makes you give a damn and keep shooting. The graphics, while not as good as dooms, certainly hold their own, and a lot of the effects and monsters certainly pull their weight as well.
A definite gem that I still play everynow and then, here's hoping they make a redo or maybe a port!!!
