Blacklight may not set any records or win any awards....but for 1200 points, Blacklight is top of it's class in DLC

Blacklight is a futuristic mirror of the Call of Duty games, with a few slight twists. Basically the controls handle the same, the shooting aspect functions very similar to that of previous shooters; along with the weapon unlocking that is extremely familiar. Many people may say that these are bad things....and in some personal opinions they may be...but because they're familiar, they're quick & easy to pick up. No real learning curve....learning new controls, how unlocking stuff works, etc. It's just pick up & play.

The qualities that really make this game are the weapon customization, the Blacklight ability to find your opponents anywhere and the quick run & gun multiplayer. A player can customize everything on their weapon from the muzzle to the butt stock, along with armor sets, various key tags for your weapons, and color schemes to fit just about everything. Now, the blacklight ability is a great tool if used correctly, but as any player may agree...if used at the wrong time it will get you killed for using it. This is because the moment you turn it on your character touches the corner of your screen (as an animation) to show that he's turning it on & off. Within these brief few seconds a blazing maniac is bound to come rushing around a corner about 50% of the time....so use cautiously.

The only bad things I notice in this game would be the lacking of a single player....which I can understand because it was geared as a multiplayer game specifically. Also, a few times getting into matches it can glitch out and it feels like your loading into a match...but you're really just stuck at a loading screen permantly until you go back to the dashboard/turn off the system. I would also mention that there are not nearly enough maps for multiplayer...but being a DLC game, I know there will eventually be maps coming out in the near future...for a reasonable price I hope.

Overall...for any FPS player that likes fast based shooters, this is defiantly a game you would enjoy. Even being a fan of the slower methodic ghost recon/rainbow six games I still have fun with this futuristic chaotic style shooter...and for the price, you really can't go wrong.
