Despite the weak story, the "meh" graphics and the unique shooting controls to get used to, Black is the most satisfying FPS ever made by far. It does so many great things that other FPS don't. Dust is formed from the gunshots, there are destruction elements in almost every structure along the way, and there's top notch animations, bullet holes that don't fade, and most importantly, fantastic sounds coming from the weapons and the music. Black is like none other.
Like I said before, ignore the story as much as you should've done in other FPS and focus on the animations. People overreact to your weapons because your weapons feel powerful. It's something I've never seen in a shooter before and it's fantastic. Although the graphics all in all may be a concern, but this was a PS2/Xbox game. What do you expect?Then, there's the sound which is the best in a video game that you'll ever hear. The music is gorgeous whether it's played during the opening credits or in a mission, you are going to drop your jaw to the beautiful music. The sound effects are equally as excellent. The weapons are o.t.t. when it comes to their sounds and all of them sound fantastic. Again, never seen in any other shooter, along with the permanent bullet holes, the destruction engine and the dust from the gunshots.
