I love this game for two reasons. The storyline/mystery element is very interesting and amazing. Not to mention the graphics are great. Whenever you run into water or grass, and whatever else you might think would be in an underwater city it looks amazing.

Unfortunately this game has bugs, and some mistakes that make the game make no sense.

First of all it would be nice when you're running through the halls of Rapture firing off your machine gun that the sound would actually come through your speakers. The sound in this game cuts out way too much! I'd have to say it cut out more than 3 times during each level I played.

Also I don't understand why when I shoot something in the head I only see a tenth of damage taken away from their life. I thought it was kind of hard to live with your brains splattered all over the wall?

Then there is the shotgun. Another tenth of damage taken away for a shot done at close range, with a shotgun! Yes very stupid.

Also I've noticed something else with this game. It's almost easier to always use the wrench to kill something rather than any of the many guns you get in this game. In fact I'd say this method works through the entire game. The only exception are the Big Daddies, for that you need grenades or fancy ammo.

This game could have gotten a ten easily if it weren't for the technical issues and the weapon damage problems that the developers didn't seem to care to make more realistic

That's why I can't give this more than an 8.5
