When I first picked up BioShock I thought that it was just a normal FPS with some good scares thrown into the mix. Imagine my surprise when it turned out to have RPG elements, with some customization and stealth mixed in. Although the game is fairly straight forward, there are plenty of side branches in the facility (Rapture) to explore.
Although the game does contain SecuROM I had no trouble installing and playing it. It has been a while since a game has made me think of different ways to solve problems or fight enemies just for the simple fact that there isn't a ton of ammo/health kits/eve kits laying around to make it a true FPS.
All in all though I would say that BioShock is a great game, and its probably one of the best that I've played in quite a while. I encourage all who own a PC that is good enough to run it to pick this game up, its got a little bit of everything, and everyone should find something they like in it.
