I'm sure I'll enjoy it, but how can it compare to Rapture?

Bioshock 1 was more then a game...it was a work of art. As confident as I am in the developers, I can't imagine a floating city will be anywhere the vibe you get from an underwater one. Thunder storms are the only environmental aspects I can think off to give that "creeping slowly around every bend in fear of what's around the corner" feeling like I had in Rapture. I hope for the best, but have reservations about how it will stand against it's phenomenal predecessors. Any thoughts?

For thousands of years, people have speculated an event of the greatest magnitude will take place on December 21st, 2012....and its only a few months away

i think Columbia will hold up quite well with Rapture. i fully believe that it will not top Rapture, so make no mistakes about that. but i also believe those feelings we got from Rapture were due in a large part to how the designers made us maneuver those corridors vs the pure aesthetics. if they maintain the fear and desire to see what's around the corners, that desire can make the discovery much more indelible than the simple existence of something cool. Rapture focused on Ayn Rand, Columbia seems be focusing on principals of the founding fathers and possibly class distinctions in society so Irrational have another great batch of intellectual conundrums to work with and those deeper issues should permeate the environment of Columbia no less than Ryan/Rand's philosophies permeated Rapture.

i cannot wait for February (if it doesn't get pushed back again lol)

    Who cares how it compares?

Reminds me of all the mewling about how Rapture would stand up to the Rickenbacker and Von Braun.....

Need to judge this game on it's own merits, and it looks awesome.

In my opinion Columbia looks like another version of Dunwall from Dishonored and I LOVED Dunwall.
