The Big Daddy comes out to play but shall you enjoying playing as him in Rapture.

User Rating: 8.5 | BioShock 2 PS3
Bioshock was praised for its setting in the Dark Ruins of Rapture and feeling dark and intense. You had to Harvest Little Sisters and take out Splicers. The sequel sees you return to Rapture as the big Daddy hoping to find your daughter.

Gameplay

Well not much is different from the first game you play as a Big Daddy who has a Drill that requires Fuel to work or you can just whack enemies. You will get all sorts of weapons through the single player like Shotguns,Machine Guns and Grenade Launchers. They can be upgraded at weapon shops for more power bigger capacity. Also you get different types of ammo for each indiviual gun.

You get certain Plasmids like an Electirc Shock,Burn your foes,Freeze them and even Hypnotize them and there are up to 3 levels making them more stronger. To get more you need to collect EVE and also harvest or adopt and rescue Little Sisters but you have to eliminate the Big Daddy thats guarding them. Sometimes the dreaded Big Sister might come from time to time and they can be right pains to deal with. Your EVE and Health Bar can be increased by purchasing upgrades at an Adam vendor to carry more HP and EVE.

In terms of enemies there are normal Splicers,Spider Splicers which climb wars,Splicers that can teleport,Brutes who pack a punch and also turrets and little robots thaat can be hacked to get them helping you. Speaking of hacking it is much easier in this game than the last one. I found hacking in the last one a right pain. Also you always know where your supposed to go because an arrow at the top of the screen points you in the distantion you need to go to reach your goal.

If I have got any complaints its that sometimes to many enemies can attack you at one time and also the fact that there is a lack of puzzles in this game apart from the hacking tool and thats there's no real bosses.

Presentation

Like the last one dark and atmospheric but probably not as memorable as the original.

Lastabilty

I'd say about an 8 to 10 hour game but there's multiplayer but now it seems there's not many people on it.

Overall Opinion

While it is an amazing game it lacks the spark the original had of being memorable. Yes its basically more of the same in Rapture but it just doesn't feel as epic as the journey when you first enetered Rapture. It's still worth a playthrough though.
