- "Innovative"
Bionic Commando is a unique game. The use of your bionic arm combined with wit makes this, for me, one of the most enjoyable video-gaming experiences I've had in a long time.
Story: The Story is good. You're Nate "Rad" Spencer, the bionic commando, who has been in prison for 5 years due to the "Bionic Purge" (that's how the hunt the "Federate States of America" did to all bionics was called), and has now been released to fight other Bionics who are attacking FSA, with the promise that he will be told what happened to his wife,12 years ago. It has some interesting twists and the way the story is told is interesting, since there are very few cut-scenes (you got to pay attention to the details) and most of the story is told through radio conversations. I'd give it a 8/10, but in this game, the story isn't the most important
Graphics: They're great, nearly perfect, I'd say. When the camera goes under water (which it rarely does) you can barely see anything, but everything else is perfect. The animations are amazing, and so are the transitions between them. The grenade blast and metal are the best I've ever seen and everything else looks really good. 10/10
Sound: The soundtrack is epic, and changes according to the enemies you're fighting. The voices are also good, but they're not the best out there. The gunshots, well, some people like them, some people don't. They sound like every weapon has a suppressor on it, which I love since, for me, it makes the gun sound more... precise. 9/10
Gameplay: This game ISN'T hard. Many people I know would say it is hard . However, this isn't a game I'd classify as hard, in fact, I believe it's as easy as, say, Uncharted Drake's Fortune, or Call of Duty. You just need to learn how to use the bionic arm. In a videogame world where every action games are cover based, where games reward brute force over technique, where games reward pressing X three times in a row to defeat that big bad boss, this games manages, for me, to stand out. In this game, you won't get anywhere by repeating the same strategy, hoping to get that last headshot on that last enemy, but instead you must try it another way. And you can't evade bullets from a couple of MGs by pressing X to cover. Instead you use your bionic arm, and what a tool that is. Jumping from a building 100ft tall, grappling on top of a street lamp, headshooting a enemy as you turn around the lamp, before landing on the ground blasting enemies off the road, and then finishing them off, smashing their heads with our bionic arm is a feeling much better than pressing X to cover (in, for example, Quantum of Solace) and headshooting enemies one by one when they reload. I only had one gameplay issue, which was that sometimes I didn't knew which one was the Arm cross-hair and the Aiming cross-hair (The arm cross-hair is in the nearest wall/enemy, while the aiming one is always in the middle of the screen) 10/10
Overall this is a very fun game, and I recommend you to try it 10/10

awesome game. ignore the 6 rating, this is a game that has had way to much work put into it for that rating
