The destruction of the classic bionic commando is here (at least it has good multiplayer)
It's been made 3D (duh) and amazingly enough it freaking sucks.
graphics - The graphics are amazing, HD is actually possible if you have the PC version or the PS3 version (but that's not what we're talking about) the 360 version does not have HD, but the graphics still look pretty good
sound - WHAT SOUND!?! sure there's some sound FX but most of them are the same, and I can't recall very much music and the music that IS here sucks.
gameplay - now the gameplay is where the rotten core is located.
sure you can swing around all you want like a spider man nut case but actually fighting, shooting, etc is just ridiculous. Now there's this weird lurch at the end of a swing that I don't understand, you drown easy in water (makes sense) you have limited ammo (very limited) and you can jump (which you could not in any other bionic commando game).
Now the jumping thing is fine and the drowing would be okay if you could actually save your self but that's almost impossible because you have about 5 seconds of air even though you're this big muscle man.
Also if you miss a special pick up you can go back to that level and get it (too bad it doesn't get saved unless you save over your old file which just erases all your progress from before and after) Finally the AI sucks
special charm - You can swing around, it's bionic commando, and there's some really cool bosses.
multiplayer - The multiplayer saves the day. Now the multiplayer takes forever to get a match (I guess because the main game sucks so bad not a whole lot of people want to play online) but I say it's worth it on a lucky day. If you can get a match in 10 minutes than you're fine but if you have to wait any longer than forget it. Also the skins that are in multiplayer are pretty cool but that doesn't distract all that much from the fact that the gameplay here is way better because you fight actually challenging opponents that also have bionic arms. Also because they're not bots they probably have problems with the swinging mechanic.
final feelings - The game is pretty fun but it's marred by some serious problems. With the game being as long as it is you probably won't finish it (and I don't mean in one sitting I mean you probably will never finish it because you'll probably just get so so far and than just quit).
The multiplayer is great and recommended for use almost straight after beating the 2nd level of single player.
foot notes: it's said to be a sandbox but radiation and rock walls will keep you from going too far.
