Classic reinvented
Beside being a marketing stunt for the actual 3d "Bionic Commando" game, its a good game that stands on his own.
It has a classic arcade soundtrack and the graphics are very good.
Its a 2d game played with 3d characters, the storyline is good with a big surprise at the end.
the controls are a bit tricky, but once you get use to them the game gets more fluid and provides lots of fun.
as the game progresses you get upgrades and expand your arsenal, a side from a large variety of weapons including rocket launcher, grenades and machine guns, you can use your claw-arm to grab enemies and stop bullets.
you will be able to stop at training bases as well as enter the actual mission. at the end of each level you will encounter a boss and engage a boss fight, which is mostly easy, the really hard part is at the end, but I wont ruin your surprise.
In each level you will find one or two thinking mini games that you can skip if you like but they are very easy.
it preserve old gaming style tradition as well as spicing it a bit.
overall its a great game, it is very challenging near the end and it is plain fun even if you just want to revisit levels you have already completed.
