This is a must have game for anyone who enjoyed the original, or anyone who longs for a good platform game.
All of the levels mirror the original, and the new version also contains tons of hidden goodies. The game features a slew of unlockables, and offers up a good challenge, but not over frustrating to the point of discouraging. The game also has unlimited continues, and offers save functionality, something old vets may remember the original was lacking.
Overall the game is just fun to play. Even after you beat it you may find yourself compelled to play again because the game is simply fun. The controls are solid, and use of the bionic arm is easy to learn, and hard to master. For those who have what it takes to become a master, the game offers a lot of extra challenges to test even the best bionic gamers via an in-game addition of a virtual obstacle course. The only downside to the game is the fact that at current time, it offers no trophy support, which may diminish the incentive of some people to try to beat some of the games hardest challenges. That being said, the game is a rock solid purchase for the price, and it makes me wish Capcom and other companies would remake a lot of the old classics.
