Good game!! (excluding Super Hard and some challenge rooms)

The best way to enjoy this game is by playing it on Normal or maybe if you are feeling hardcore you could try Hard mode.

This game is fun and it doesn't feels like a downloadable game, you can see the developers passion for this game not only in their interviews but throughout the game.

The only bad things here I can think of is the lack of bosses. There are 6 bosses on 12 levels because all bosses repeat twice (the second time they are harder to defeat). I would have preferred 12 bosses instead of 6.

The second bad thing is something that can make you hate the game. Some challenge rooms are fun to play even when hard to beat, but challenge rooms 55 and 56 (the last two) are just an insult. I have managed to beat 55 by luck, but it's just as if the developers played the rooms and when they made them unbeatable, then added one more level of difficulty!!! To me, it looks as a lack of game testing, I can't think of anyone trying to beat those challenge rooms having a smile on their face.

The same thing goes for Super Hard mode. If you manage to beat that mode you have my full respect as a gamer.

I think maybe they did it on purpose, this is a NES remake and I remember some NES games I never get past the first levels (like Double Dragon 3). If you are looking for seriously hard games I suggest you try this super hard mode.

I had a lot of fun beating the game on normal and trying to beat all challenge rooms, but I certainly feel if I have purchased this game on disc I would have traded it at my nearest retail store after the disappointment of that extremely difficult challenges that take the fun out of the game.

I wish someday Sony makes available a "trade-in" or "rent" service over the PS store, or at least some way to store this game outside the PS3 hard drive. I don't think I'll try to get the super hard medal, not even if it's worth a Platinum Trophy when they release the patch and the only thing that adds replayability could be multiplayer mode, but my friends found hard to use the bionic arm and gave up, so I can't tell.

Apart from that it was a fun game and I hope other developers come back to 2D games, they still have a lot to offer.
