Players be warned: The control scheme can be EXTREMELY frustrating early on, but it does have that classic console feel.
However, gamers who dislike repetitive/frustrating level design will likely find themselves putting the game down after only a level or two. The original Bionic Commando certainly had its share of extremely difficult levels, so that isn't too surprising.
Warning: The demo doesn't give a very good example of this, since it's merely the first screen of the first level.
The developers demonstrate a cliche-aware sense of humor throughout, which helps alleviate the frustration a bit.
If you DO like classic-style platformers and have a high degree of patience, this game is for you.
