@andruxandd It is needed. Whether you like it or not, Gamespot and other websites earns money though ads. You see ads almost everywhere. It makes the site going so please understand it. ads only takes a few minutes or sometimes second so I don't think it hurts ;)

@andruxandd How do you think gamespot and literally almost every other game site earns money? Advertisement is here to stay. Deal with it or leave. Nobody care either way.

this game was surprisingly good, considering previous shooters from Japan. The boss battles are just insane! The story takes a few interesting turns, but I still feel they missed a few opportunities. they never really use the concept of hollow children to force the player to make ambiguous choices, since all the enemies are mindless robots.

I beat this game in 2 sittings , not because it was short ( it's not ) but because of the great story and setting and the way the baddies fall to pieces after you pelt them with bullets.Great game.

This is probably one of the most underrated games ever excluding gamespot and ign's review although I would have thought that this game would at least get an 8.It mostly got negative reviews from the other critics such as Edge and Gamespy.I was surprised that Eurogamer, considering their more tougher reviews, gave it an 8.Sure, the cover system isn't as refined as GOW and the multiplayer isn't compelling but the game itself is great and the gameplay is satisfying.I also thought the story was quite good.

This is one of the very best games I've played in recent times, if not THE best. This review is so absolutely superficial that from now on I'll never ever again pay attention to the mainstream. This title is head and shoulders above tons of ordinary third-person shooters that get a better score just because their publishers advertise a lot.

Just played the game through to the end. Really enjoyed it. It won't break any boundaries really other than the mic mode (which I had off). Storyline is all pretty standard but really well acted and plays like a feature film. Reminded me a lot of Ghost in the Shell. 7.5-8 rating seems about right to me only on account of the gameplay not being earth shattering but definitely worth playing if you're a fan of cyber punk style games.

This game is so incredibly awesome - at least in single player, which matters the most to me.Just completed chapter 2 and I'm having a blast. It has a B-movie vibe to it, I think, but it really works in favor of the game, and I'm really surprised to see how high production value this title has. This game deserves way better sales - just like Vanquish did. I really loved Vanquish, but I think that I might find this game even better! Although I really can't say this for sure before completing it.

@Ink129 Have to agree with you. The production value is superb and the game is highly enjoyable. Starts off slow like a movie then really picks up and has you interested until the very end. I actually gave a crap about the characters by the end of it.

All that praise and you could only muster up a 7.5 ? How about taking about the bad stuff as well if you're gonna rate it so low.

@SmithersGames probably because at times some of the teammates or the main protagonist drops the F word or something like that ...

I'm having a blast with this game. I strongly recommend it entirely for its campaign. It has nice graphics, interesting futuristic architecture and props, robots are repetitive but their multiple animations make them look so unique, gameplay is Gear of wars like plus RPG elements and the plot is a mix between Matrix and Resident evil

@mat989 Sega didn't make Vanquish. Platinum Games did. Sega published it. The people who made this game are different.

mat989
mat989

@PS3maniac420 Well, Vanquish was made by Sega, just like Binary Domain...and don't forget that title had a quite good impact on the market...so yeah, they just made some minor adjustments and put dubstep music (something quite overused nowadays, in trailers and games....right, Battlefield 3 and Syndicate?)

cp198108a
cp198108a

Binary Domain is an great and intresting game with a good story and likeable caracters. The cover mechanics work great and movement and gunshooting works good aswell. To bad the MP part is happered by not just lag but also by the miss of enough players and the time it takes to full up a lobby. And yes just as mentioned below Vanquish came from the same team aswell and by Sega, to bad Binary Domain seems to share a simular fate as Vanquish did, that it happend to be a great game but slipped thru the eyes of many gamers because of the lack of advertising and commercials. Is it worth getting? Yes if your into 3th person shooters with a great set of caracters and a likable main caracter and a compeling story set in a not to far future with simularities to I, Robot then yes you def should give this game a try.

@xxshortroundxx Yep because dubstep is for 13 year-olds whereas other music is for narrow-minded individuals. Oh look, I just did what you did.

What is up with Dubstep in shooting games thesedays. It's although developers are making these games purely for 13 year olds. >.>
