Firepower
This game is one of the best shooters that have came out in a long time and has became one of my personal favorates in that genere.
The game has no plot which is fine by me shooters were never known for plot anyway, all you have to know is this, start the game, shoot whatevers in your way, and don't die; yeah simple and basic and that's the way I like it as a saying goes, less is more.
I really love the control sceme, it is the best use of the stylus. You have full freedom of movement, your able to move your sprite dot anywhere you want to to avoid enimy fire. But also you have full freedom at shooting anywhere you need to, where all you do is simply flick with the wrist, in a way you can say your kinda using the stylus like a magic wand.
But I think the real joy is in it's sureal quality. This game is also one of the most surrealistic shooters I've played, there really aren't that many only ones I know are the "Fantasy Zone" franchise as well as the "Twin Bee" franchise in Japan. The game has great background animation all different art styles from the different countries they represent. But most of all great enimies to boot all designed well and bizzare. You shoot dragon statues, superheroes, Joker wanabes, tut heads, cyborg knights, evil ghosts, light brites just all kinds of bizzare and random things. Which makes it all the more fun and modivates me more to beat and get to the next row of stages just to know what there, so the game never gets dull because each stage and level is a supprise to see to believe.
Each level you do have different abilities which will aid you and give you a leg up in the chalanges. Like weapons or defensive tools which I think are my favorate thing. However be careful with the defensive tools, you do have an unlimited use of them however the tools run on a power bar, once you use it it drains and it takes a long amount of seconds to recharge, so use them wisely don't waste them.
The boss battles are interesting because it's not the standard one boss battle but it's four bosses you have to beat, I'm not kidding. Don't panic their not that hard to beat, once you know their patterns and weaknesses you can get though them real fast but this new format makes things all the more tense yet fun.
I don't really have anything to complain about except that I thought the game was kinda short at least by my standards. You might be able to get though this game in less than three or four days, though this could just be me on the matter since I've played shooters for a long time and the same could be said about some shooters out there ride is short but a sweet ride.
Big Bang Mini has the fire power to keep you entertained.
