Pretty entertaining, really...

Graphics - Nice, colourful visuals. Actually, pretty nice considering their age.

Music - A lot of different songs that suit then environments. Works well.

Gameplay - Two major problems. a) I've never even come CLOSE to dying. The game is ridiculously easy, and your health lasts FOREVER. b) There's no reason to fight everything (or anything non-boss, acutally). All the enemies move slowly, and you can avoid them really easily, not to mention that there's not currency in the game, so they don't really drop useful stuff all that often. You get nothing from fighting other than the joy of hacking and slashing.

That being said... it is fun. You have a wider array of inherent fighting abilities than in a Zelda game, and you can jump at will (my biggest issue with Zelda games historically), plus there's extra weapons with a limited life span, and the requisite increased power, available to add a little variety. There's also elemental spirits (oh, the cliche) you collect to do some mild (very mild) puzzles, but they're wicked easy.

I don't see this as being even close to the same calibur (or with the same level of polish) as a Zelda games, but it does have its own charm with faster, more consistent action. It's just too easy, really, but a fun diversion all the same.
