When i first saw Beyond Good and Evil i thought it would be a shoddy old game, cheap, low graphical detail and overall an un rewarding experience. But after hearing and getting a recommendation i decided to play it. I knew it was french and was made by the same developers and creators of Rayman, which slightly put me off. But i was then to discover what a satisfying and delightful game it turned out to be.

At first you get thrown straight into the action against the evil aliens, the Domz! My kind of game. The combat seemed great and what was more all i had to do was repeatedly tap the square button, seemed a bit to easy but it helps the gameplay and keeps it moving. The storyline so far was exellent and i liked the way when towards the end of my first taste of the game it went into a cinematic affecy which gave me the feeling of a dramatic affect.

As i played more of the game i discovered a unique world called Hillis, a free- form world, not as big as my personal favourite, Jak and Daxter, but still quite brilliant. The stroyline developed into an engrossing story about a conspiracy that you have to uncover with the help of a secret organisation called the Iris Network, to uncover the evil conspiracy of the so-called good guys the Alpha sections and the creepy Domz! I won't get to much into the games plot , cause you really should play it. The games stealth sections are a bit repetitive at times but are rewarding.

Overall the game is a unique satisfying adventure that anyone will enjoy. Although its short and maybe a bit short for its worth, its still a great game. Not quite Jak and Daxter but still one of the best Ps2 Platformers around. Overall a highly recommended game.
