Special Achievement

Best Writing & Dialogue

An interesting overarching plot can definitely make a game more interesting. And voice actors giving excellent performances can also add a lot to the experience. But while a good story and skilled actors are valuable, so are solid writing and clever dialogue. Voice actors can really shine if they have superior material, and great stories become something truly special with well-written narrative structure and with dialogue that makes characters more memorable.

Really Gamespot, Really? Dragon Age doesnt win for best writing and dialogue? Thats most of the game! The writing sets you in this world and the characters pull you in like no other game.

    You crazy Gamespot.

Just a popularity contest. Nobody is considering anything but which game is popular and voting for it. It's a shame.

WTF AGAIN? BATMAN IS NOT NOMINATED? WHAT THE H... IS R&CF:ACIT? DA:O IS MUCH BETTER.

Surprising choice, I though Unchared 2 or Dragon Age would have won this, but Ratchet & Clank: ACIT was still pretty good too.

Actually, Ratchet & Clank games are action-adventure games, almost RPGs the way they're made, but I digress. Congratulations for the epic game and worthy kudos, Insomniac and TJ.

It really seems to me that Gamespot really hates DA:O. Everytime I see a category where that game should win, they pick a game which probably has the least right of the Final Five to actually win the award, just to make the humilation as big as possible. Everybody is entitled to their opinion, I suppose.

Wow. I honestly wasn't expecting this... although I certainly voted for it. Insomniac's charming duo definitely deserved this and I'm glad to see ACiT got this along with best platformer. Maybe there's hope for GS, yet...

so how much did sony pay to clean up in these awards this year? Seems awfully biased to me.

About time Ratchet and Clank got some respect. I was thinking "Oh great, another chance for them to ignore more worthy games and plug Uncharted 2 again" as I reached to click the envelope, but what a pleasant surprise that the game with the actual best writing and dialogue got the award.

THANK GOD RATCHET AND CLANK WON THIS AWARD!!!

lol I saw who won and I was thinking... the first five comments I see are going to be complaining about how UC2 didn't win. Not surprisingly I was right. But really, I've never played any of these games besides Assassin's Creed 2 so I shouldn't be talking to much. But anyway, grats Ratchet.
