Most Surprising Game to Make it Past Aussie Censors

Another game banned in Australia? Is that even news anymore? Sadly, the home of Mad Max, AC/DC, and Wolverine (or Hugh Jackman, anyway) is now better known for its draconian game censorship policy. But for every game that gets refused classification Down Under, many more manage to make it past the censors with what seems like a similar--if not the same--type of "questionable" content. Since Left 4 Dead 2 and Aliens vs. Predator were banned in 2009, which one of the games below was the most surprising game to make it past Australia's Classification Board?

alright, cutting people in half is really not a huge deal.. it's not a common national debate.

haha terrorism on the other hand... wow. hats off to CoD:MWII

I gave my vote to Madworld because of it violance, but then I remeberd that Fallout 3 should have been banned because of in-game use of drugs and that I remeberd GTA

I think cod:mw2 with "no Russian" was most cencsorable.

In MadWorld, you can uppercut someone into the air, and then chainsaw them in half.

YOU CAN CHAINSAW PEOPLE IN HALF IN THIS GAME.

And no, not just horizontally, either.

How much more clear can you get?

At least Prototype made it to the top 5 =) I was surprised (or more precisely, shocked) that it did not win this award for all its gut and gore. Maybe this award will extend GTA's notoriety -- which is actually nothing new. Yawns =(

How did a Nintendo DS game win AGAIN? What the hell is wrong with GameSpot and these awards? Prototype is way more deserving, there was so much blood and gore in that game.

Voted Madworld, but serioiusly, MW2? If the other CoD games have gotten by just fine why would it be any different?

Forget drugs: It's more surprising that Prototype got through if they had such a fit about Left 4 Dead 2.

Why the hell is Dragon Age on the list? Anyway, I think MW2 surprised me the most. Say what you want about the game, but there was some serious violence involved.

What? The Aussie censors are strict about violence, not so much offensive language, and GTA: CW had the least realistic violence of the bunch.

Exactly. Can u even see blood on that dumb screen?

Do people just vote for MW2 for the sake of voting for MW2?

How could Chinatown Wars win this? I haven't played it, but I'm sure that Madworld, Prototype, Wolverine, and Modern Warfare 2 were waaaay more violent than a DS game.
