Best UK-Developed Game

The United Kingdom is home to some of the best development studios in the world, despite facing increasingly stiff competition from countries such as Canada, China, and Korea. Rockstar North, Rockstar Leeds, Criterion Games, Codemasters, Rocksteady Studios, FreeStyleGames, SCE Studio Cambridge, Headstrong Games, Sega's Creative Assembly, and Sports Interactive are all situated in the United Kingdom. And these development powerhouses have all produced outstanding games this year.

Arkham was an excellent game, but am I wrong in thinking that it takes some SERIOUS talent to make a game of Chinatown's quality for the DS?

Geo, you clearly haven't played Chinatown Wars. It's an incredible experience.

It seems like gamespot has a hard-on for chinatown wars. It was decent fun, but I would of went with Batman.

"Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is, without a doubt, the best UK-developed game this year."

Without a doubt? I've got plenty of doubt here. Like, "But hmm, I had a lot more fun playing Batman Arkham Asylum, LittleBigPlanet, and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City. And since games are about having fun, those three games must be better developed than Chinatown Wars. Therefore I doubt Chinatown Wars should win."

    See? Doubt.

Hmm, while I haven't played it yet, I doubt I'd enjoy a handheld GTA more than I did Batman: AA...
