Every year there are some games that are good, solid, consistent experiences the whole way through, and there are some games that are lacking. And every year there are some games with a moment that stops us dead in our tracks. Did we actually just see that? Did this game just do what we think it did? I think the MW2 "No Russian" level is a moment to forget and not to remember.

IMO, No Russian should have been controlled by an AI, not by us...

That's not really memorable to me, that's kind of obvious actually.

Arkham was full of great moments, including me almost ejecting the disc at one point, damn Scarecrow. MW2's No Russian level was impressive as well. Uncharted 2 however was jam packed of movie quality moments, should have been in the top 5.

Sorry but no, I can't agree with that, the most memorable moment is most definitly No Russian level of Modern Warfare 2. If massacreing an entire airport of innocents doesn't top your most rememberable list then... Well I am not sure what that says about you.

I'm glad Dead Space: Extraction won this. When that moment first happened I was thinking "WOW!! I will remember this forever!." My first instinct was to try to shoot the tentacle, when I found that wouldn't work, I knew I had to cut the hand off. And it was shocking, his screams at each slice was spine tingling and scary.

I know that everybody is saying no to MW2 because of "No Russian" but what about the level when you spend like 20 minutes trying to defend the Intel of Makarov's crimes and you reach the extraction point after dodging bullet after bullet and Sheperd ask you if you have it and you smile because you finally reached it and BAM! He f*****g shoots you! He burns you! Maybe even alive! Cmon people!

Good thing "No Russian" did not win... That scene is too much media hype. Yes, it is controversial and all, but memorable? No.

I for one was quite impressed with most of the scenes in Uncharted 2 and would have liked one of them to win.

I voted for inFAMOUS' ending... one hell of a great twist and was well animated to boot. It left me wanting more but satisfied enough to be content with the title's story. Although the train sequence in U2 was amazing, too. Made me feel like it should have been nothing more than a lengthy cutscene but I was just blown away playing it, start to finish. It was beautiful.

I'm not saying its not memorable because it's horrible. There are a lot of horrible moments in gaming that are memorable: putting a plastic bag over someone's head and brutally beating their brains in against a wall (Manhunt) for the first time. Always stick with me. Pure depravity. Another example: pretty much anything from the early days of Silent Hill.

I'm saying it is not memorable AND horrible. The decision to make it a playable section was horrible--it's practically on rails and you have no significant impact on the events. You become a mass murderer for shock value. And while it was shocking, and honestly, a bit disturbing, it's just another blip in the recent trend of "controversial segments" in games added for the sake of the publicity they generate. It has us talking about it, after all. The Dead Space moment was a genuine mind-f__. After hours of developing this strategy and struggling to survive, you're forced to dismember yourself to stay alive.

I'm sorry GameSpot, the correct answer was Batman. Not that thing EA pinched out for the Wii.
