Best Use of a Creative License

When you see the word "license" in the context of a video game, you probably think one of two things--it's going to be horrible, or someone should really make a game adaptation of the film License to Drive. OK, maybe not the second part, but many games based on licensed properties struggle to stay true to the popular characteristics of their licenses while not being terrible. But every so often we get a game that captures the essence of a license and uses it as a positive asset that enhances the overall experience. This category recognizes these games.

No doubt Batman's gonna win, because showing his descent to hell and human side (especially during his run-in with Scarecrow or the final battle) was just an excellent choice.

    Hope there'll be a sequel

i think we were blessed with really awesome licensed games this year. last year their were some ok games like web of shadows which played awesomely but still needed a lot of improvements and then you had the force unleashed which had a great story and music but otherwise is a very weak game. wolverine ended up being good but ghostbusters and batman were amazing games in their own right. not only is it a licensed game but the fact that they can contend with other games released this year says much about them.

No surprise here. Finally, a good Batman game.

hunter8man: Huh? The accomplishment is for the "Best Use of a Creative License", not "Best Use of a Movie License" or "Best Use of a Creative Movie License". If it were an award for that, I would say Wolverine: Origins wins hands down.

Yup well deserved since this is the first batman game that is actually epic and not trash like the previous batman games.
