Best Voice Acting

For as much as technology has progressed to the point that playing a game can now make you feel like you're watching a top-tier Hollywood movie, it's not just the code running a game that makes the experience. For a developer, going out and finding the best voice actors you can and molding their performances into believable characters is a critical part of any big-budget game. Whether we teared up with laughter or teared up with sadness, we've seen--and heard--some great performances this year. Here are the best of the best from 2009.

I don't understand how Bioware's Dragon Age would be omitted from the list. 800,000 lines of dialogue, and everyone knows Bioware's high standards for voiceovers.

No doubt this one goes to Uncharted 2, best voice acting i've seen in my entire life, the voice actor makes it feel like you are living in a breathing world.

Hmm I don't know. on one hand they were annoying as all hell but on the other they were authentic. Hard call but i give it to brutal legend because of the star studded cast of Metal Legends and Jack Black. Uncharted 2 was good in the voice department but not in a good way.

My vote goes for Brutal Legend, cuz Jack Black was just amazing!

If Batman had won over Uncharted I wouldn't have minded. Those two games have solid voice acting.

sucks that batman didnt win. the fact that they got a cast that was already awesome back in the day with the animated series really makes it a winner.

This category was kind of a no-brainer. The game that deserved to win actually DID win.

I knew Uncharted 2 would win this, but I really have no idea why. Batman and Dragon Age both were leaps and bounds more interesting in the voice acting department.

Uncharted probably deserves this one, but I'm surprised ACII wasn't there.

Wow no Dragon Age for voice acting? Due to the size of the game and the huge amount of voice acting in the game, it was refreshing to hear quality voice acting throughout, which is extremely rare for RPGs of that size.

Batman gets my vote, gotta love the Joker and Bruce exchanging words.

Uncharted 2 has some quality acting, but I don't understand why Arkham didn't win this.
