The PlayStation 3 had a strong year in 2011. While none of our five nominees for the Best PlayStation 3 Game award were exclusive to the platform, it's worth noting that both Resistance 3 and Uncharted 3 weren't eliminated easily. The final five were decided upon only after lengthy discussion. While one or two of the included games might surprise you, it's perhaps one or two of the games that were omitted (in addition to those already mentioned) that will spark the most debate.

We understand the point of view (no doubt expressed in the comments below again this year) that the Best PlayStation 3 Game award should go to a PS3-exclusive game, but games aren't always created equal on different platforms, so we feel it's important to recognize the best games for each platform without worrying about the business arrangements that determine who gets to play them. If you have a PlayStation 3, it's our opinion that these were the five best games released for your console in 2011.

look at u sailing through the air majestically like an eagle, but highlighing a blimp!! ha ha har har har ..lol :Djokes apart, i wouldnt pay ONLY fer a puzzle based genre game though.

I love love love Portal 2. That gotten out of the way, this is not a good decision. Uncharted 3 FTW.

Not a deserved win at all, even though it was a Great game. Where are the Exclusives? Uncharted? InFamous? Killzone? No where to be seen. Gamespot needs to work on their lists better. at this moment, I haven't looked at the best 360 game, but I bet they actually HAD exclusives in that line-up!
