true xbox really didnt have to much to offer in 2009.

assasins creed 2 has to be one of the most overrated games of all time the game barely improved at all and got worse in difficulty standards.you will almost never use the new combat abiliteys even the most common move jumping assasination i found my self useing it about 5 times in the and some moves like the hay assanation i never used same thing with all of my other friends.the new duel hidden blade i coudnt use becaues you can only use it if your enemies are perfectly alined which they always are if there standing guard but almost every time i try it doesnt work.and the game is ungodly easy when it comes to combat i thought i had to much health with only 15 codex pages out of 30 and each codex gives you a bar of health and you can carrie 15 medi packs wich heal you half health and those medipacks are really cheap and it doesnt matter how much it costs money is extreamly easy to get.also smoke bombs the new assasins creed tool allows you to stun enemies in fog long enough to stab each one in the back with your hidden blade so you can win any fight easy and its low price and you can carry 3 of them.the only real inprovemeants are the graphics and the look of the city.

Only a couple of exclusives for the 360. I have all 3 systems and enjoy 360 and PS3 (only have the wii for the kidos). Xbox 360 has its work cut out for them as sony is starting to hit their stride.

This year will be better for Xbox 360 a lot of AAA titles coming .. 2009 year was not so good to be honest .

L4D2 + AC2 > MW2

I don't play of CoD but Batman AA and Left 4 Dead were excellent games and deserving of the award.

Sad that my fellow 360ers went for MW2 and not for an exclusive like L4D2 which they probably voted for best coop. Nice the I have a PS3 and wider choice of top quality exclusives.

Pretty cool. Though how can this game win a award on 360. It is not an exclusive. And the PS3 version is probably the same.

All of those gomes were amazing, but I'm shocked batman didn't get it. I guess theres just too many great games on the 360!

Nothing really spectacular this year, at least out of the nominees. I'd say Forza is the best of those.

Assassins Creed 2!

I don't have a Xbox but I tried the top 2 games in here before on other consoles ( Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty ) Both have their merits I suppose , Call of Duty have an online feature while Assassin's Creed gameplay is fairly unique. But why ain't there any RPGs here! :(

Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer sets it apart from these other games.

This has to be Forza for me and I hate racing sims. Just the way it utilizes XBox live and its community make this game the best 360 experience.

I don't care if MW2, AC2, FM3, or whatever other game has been awarded the game of the year. As a gamer I like to play games, I am not interested in telling or being told which is mine/your/the editors' game of the year... I am glad that in 2009 on the 360 there have been lot of fantastic games, that's the important ;-)

This contest is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Because as the Assassin's Creed II can win, if the own site gave a higher score to Forza Motorsport 3? This is the most stupid and pointless that is. And another thing, what was served our votes, if they themselves have chosen ?

why are all the nominees multi-platform? Why weren't Trials HD and Shadow Complex on this list? What a load of crap.

@ MareInfinitus - lol I went overboard but its the same with the pc winner, dragon age.. I agree it is a great game. But, shouldn't individual specific console awards be given to titles exclusive and specific to those consoles. And, a differant class of award could be given to multi-platform titles. iduno mayebs

hahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaa xbox 360 is so hurting they gave it a winner that every console has... you could play this on ps3 or pc and its just as great.

beet67.. if u can make it to eb games and get ur hand on some preowned titles, then all the new games are 55.. if u can only get one game.. id go for games with a lot of depth so im going to throw em out there, id say either assassins creed 2, dragon age origins, forza motorsport 3, cod modern warfare 2.. if u want to get multiple games with ur money, still say go ebgames preowned.. get ur hands on the orange box, elder scrolls 4, lost planet, mass effect, dead space, the darkness (if u play ur money around right, im sure u could get 2 or 3 of those for the 55.. ive seen lost planet and darkness both for 9.99 there preowned and both are great games, orange box 17.99, mass effect and elder scrolls prolly 20).. if ur dying to go new, definitely say check out liberty city stories, make sure u bring in some games to trade in tho, muchhh more money to use that way

I don't think Assassin's Creed II is the best Xbox Games . Many Games like Call of Duty : Modern Warfare2 is better than Assassin's Creed II , which just repeat the mission many many times. I have a little disappointed to the rating.

Four exclusives, come on there has to be more games you could have put on the list. That's just annoying.

the reason why a ps3 exclusive won for the ps3 is because the multiplatform games sold more for the 360 than the ps3..... therefore that could be a reason why even though i own both systems i only have 6 games for my ps3 while i have 20+ for my 360 imo. id just rather play on the 360, better controls, better multiplayer, more fun.
