fable 2 it's the best RPG on xbox 360 in my opinion and it's has the most improved sequel!!!

R2 is an obious winner. Well The fact that Most of you never played both makes me ignore your comments. And Fable2 was GREAT but not as Large as Oblivion.

Fable 2 is my choice.

I guess I'm one of the few that thinks Fable 2 was both easier and lamer storywise than fable 1.

Resistance 2........i played it for an hour christmas morning and i found it to be so bad i havn't played it since. any1 wanna buy it off me??? :)

Fable 2 really didn't improve on anything. It pretty much the same game besides the use of guns and the annoying way you cast your will powers.

lol look at all the ppl thinking "Resistance2, wtf?" Well i'm sure Fable2 deserved but I gotta admit I'm glad that Res2 won. It has improved so much since Res1: better controls, awesome co-op mode, improved competitive multiplayer, customizable characters,... it's awesome.

Resistance 2 is a very good game and diserves that but Fable 2 I liked the first one better because it was less glitchy then fable 2 but it does have a lot more to do

LOL at the winner and LOL at people saying where is Gears of War? Gears of war is the same game, just added content and a few fixes. Not to mention the same old online lag and glitches are still around. GG. Fable should have won easily.

WHAT!? resistance? how is it improved? they took out the story co-op which made it way worse than the first, the co-op they did include was ridiculous, how many times do I have to play the same crappy looking map? Worst co-op map designs I've seen in a long time. What a joke. At least the game had a good one player story... almost worth renting... almost. gamespot disappoints me almost everywhere in this joke of a best of '08

Where is gears of war 2? Technically that improved a hell of a lot with a new game engine... Graphics, game-play etc was better... definitely should have been up there instead of Geometry Wars...

No doubt next year's award in this category will go to Killzone 2...it looks like it will be light years ahead of the crappy disappointment that was the first Killzone.

I thought it was strange that neither GTA IV or MGS4 were nominated in this catagory. Going from 9 - 9.5 scores to solid gold 10's almost across the board is one hell of an improvement.

Fable 2 was worse than 1, fanboys who didn't even play 1 are just voting it.

SR2 was definitely the most improved (but it might be that I didn't like either resistence game). Regardless, Fable 2 was worse than the first. REALLY doesn't deserve this award.

Come on Saints Row 2 was a big improvement on the first. Not the best game on the list but definitely most improved

Uh, hell no. Fable 2 was the biggest disappointment of the year. The only thing "new" is what they didnt include (and said they would) in the first one.

I agree with limafoxtrot. R1 was amazing and R2 was even more amazing. Fable was sorta weak but Fable 2 was a huge jump.

Definatly agree wtih Fable 2 on this one. The scope and interactions are so much improved this time around. The combat system is vastly better as well

While I think R2 is probably a better game overall - there is no question that Fable 2 is a much greater leap in all aspects than R2 is over R1. Not knocking R2 at all, but original Fable was pretty weak and a let down in many aspects. The original Resistance was a grade A game.

Fable II is quite possibly one of the most overrated games I've ever had the displeasure of playing.

I liked R2 more, but FoM felt had better pacing due to the narrative of Parker and you, the player, experiencing the events through Hale. Meanwhile, FABLE II, did improve a lot over its predecessor... but that was none too hard, considering how mediocre the original was. My vote goes to Burnout Paradise.

I cant belive Fable 2 is up there, i was so diappointed with it. It is unbelievably easy! THe first fable had so much to do, so many spells, so many enemies. Fable 2 is nothing like the first. Plus the ending is a complete joke...

Karrotjuce Brawl is the same thing as Melee, but with an amazing 10 new characters and 10 new items!!!!! Brawl is just an expansion of Melee, nothing real new and nothing worth playing it for.

Who cares about 30 vs 30 multiplayer? A lot of people. What's the point of a war game when you can only play 2 vs 2 or even 10 vs 10??? It doesn't feel much like a war with only 4 people now does it? Or wait, perhaps you like other multiplayer games with tons of lag and connectivity issues? I'm so sick and tired of saying 30 vs 30 MP isn't a big deal. It is a big deal, especially when it's done with virtually NO LAG! You cannot experience the all out hectic feeling you get when playing on a huge map with tons of people, little 5 vs 5 or whatever doesn't even compare. Now playing with that many people and chances are you will not be the "Super Human Hero" (Who usually camps) scares you, then simply say nothing instead of insulting a huge multiplayer lag-free. I usually only play multiplayer games and by far R2 gives you one of the best online experiences. It might not seem anything great, but when you play LBP with just a total of 3 people in a small pod and theres lag issues, or NBA 2k with just 2 players and the player your playing finally shoots the ball only a mere 10 seconds after you have pushed the button, or COD where you load a full clip into someone point blank range from BEHIND them to have them just turn around and kill you then watch the replay of you never shooting in the first place or have guys skipping across the screen in a strobe light manner. You're right sir, we all prefer playing 6 vs 6 war games (Which we all know wars consist of a total of 12 people in small restricted locations) where the outcome of the game is not based on good accuracy and reaction time but if the person you are aiming for is either a second ahead of your connection or a second behind. And *Exhale* whoo...now that I got that off my chest...
